What are your hours of operation? AdvaCare Systems is  available 24 hours a day, seven days a week- including all holidays.


How quickly can you deliver? Our goal is within 4 hours.


Are you a Medicare, Medicaid or Insurance provider? Yes, we have qualified support personnel who can answer any verification questions   Weekdays from 8:00 AM  to 5:00 PM  (Central Standard Time).  Call us toll free: 888-233-7677.


How do we figure out how to use your products? Our expert technicians will provide  training on all of our equipment to caregivers and family members.


Do you work directly with individual consumers, or only with facilities and medical institutions? We work with everyone including individuals, hospices, home care, long-term care facilities, rehabs and hospitals.


 

Frequently Asked Medicare Questions:


Can Medicare benefits be used to cover the cost of the equipment? Yes, but only if ordered by the patient’s doctor AND the patient will have to qualify for Medicare coverage.  We would need all of the patient’s insurance information and doctor’s information to begin the qualification process.


Who submits the bills to Medicare? If the patient qualifies under Medicare guidelines for the equipment ordered by their doctor, we will set up delivery and submit the bill directly to Medicare on the patient’s behalf.  Medicare will reimburse us directly the cost of the equipment.


Will Medicare cover the full cost? Medicare only covers 80% of the rental fee; the remaining 20% is the patient’s responsibility.  Most secondary insurance plans will cover the remaining 20%.


Can you bill Medicare for patients in nursing homes? No, but we can bill the nursing home directly for any equipment supplied to their patients.

 

Will Medicare cover specialty mattresses? Yes, but we have to qualify the patient for Medicare coverage before we can arrange any deliveries.


Will Medicare cover bariatric equipment? Yes, but we have to qualify the patient for Medicare coverage.  Patient must weigh at least 350 lbs, in addition to needing a qualifying diagnosis for each piece of equipment.


Will Medicare cover oxygen home therapy? Yes, if the patient qualifies.  We would need to know the patient’s saturation level on room air to determine whether Medicare benefits can be used.

 

Do you accept Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare HMO groups? No, not at this time.  We can only accept traditional plans.


Do you accept Medicaid? Yes, but a prior authorization must be obtained before we can set up delivery.  This can take up to 30 days to receive, unless the patient is being discharged from the hospital.


Do you accept Private Insurance Plans? Most are accepted.  However, insurance plans vary per patient so we will have to verify their benefits before we can set up any orders.  We are not in network for United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana, etc.
